Promptness is an important aspect of character and a measure of school citizenship. Parents are expected to see that their child/children get to school on time. Students should be seated and ready to begin class when the bell rings at 8:00 a.m. Parents who drop their children off at 8:00 a.m. or anytime thereafter must do the following: Sign your child into school in the school office and state the reason for tardiness on the tardy slip.
† Five school tardies equal one unexcused absence plus $3 for the fifth tardy and each subsequent tardy.
† School tardies are cumulative and will not be dropped at the end of a nine-week grading period.
† Being tardy will prevent students from receiving the perfect attendance award at the end of the school year.
† When arriving late, all assignments due that day must be turned in for any subject/classes missed. Students are fully responsible to seek out their teachers to fulfill these responsibilities.
